In my time at Collectors Universe I’ve had the opportunity to prepare a number of artifact and product shots for use for press releases or for our marketing department. Some of these have been used to promote our Long Beach Expo, particularly the Art Nouveau items - the Charder vase, the framed original Alphonse Mucha prints, and Martin Bros. “Wallybird” pottery from the David Hall Collection.
The gold bars seen here are from the ill-fated S.S. Central America which sank in 1857. There’s also a pristine signed Babe Ruth baseball from our PSA division (Professional Sports Authenticator), a carved fetish from the Zuni people, a recovered banknote from the D.B. Cooper skyjacking, legendary sportscaster Vin Scully’s 1963 LA Dodger’s Championship Ring, and other curiosities.
